Bottoms up in Boston

Get ready for a treat as you’re going to see a side of Boston that you thought only existed on television with Boston Bus Rentals.

If you thought that pub Cheers on television where everybody knows your name and where Coach, Sam, Diane, Carla and Woody worked was pure fiction, then get ready for a bit of schooling, Boston style.

Although the series was fiction, the pub Cheers is real and was originally called The Bull and Finch Pub and they renamed the place Cheers Beacon Hill in 2002 in honor of the show. All our party bus, charter bus customers who were fans of the series made their way there just to have a look and feel. Do note however, that the TV series only shot the exterior of the Bull & Finch and not its interiors, so the pub looks nothing like the Cheers bar.

The original outlet is located on Beacon Street in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Boston. Meanwhile, make use of a party bus to visit it’s sister outlet is located at Faneuil Hall Marketplace at Quincy Market in south Boston. (This outlet’s interior resembles that of the one from the television show).

The pub has become so much a part of local Boston society that when longtime Cheers bartender Eddie Doyle, was laid off in 2009 due to the recession, the block on which the pub resides was renamed Eddie Doyle square in his honor. It is most definitely worth a stop during your party bus tour.

Have a drink or two and walk off the buzz across from Cheers Beacon Street at your choice of either Boston Public Gardens or Boston Common. This can be easily done with charter bus service or use of public transportation alike. These two parks are considered ‘jewels’ and form the northern part of Emerald Necklace, an 1,100-acre (4.5 km2) chain of parks linked by parkways and waterways in Boston and Brookline, Massachusetts.

The main difference between the two parks is that Boston Common was designed as an unstructured open space while Boston Public Garden contains a lake and a large series of formal and seasonal plantings. Take a stroll here or just drive by and look out the window of the mini bus that you have rented...the sight is really amazing.
